What is NAS? Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome is a group of problems that occur in a newborn who was exposed to addictive opitae drugs while in the mother's womb.
Who are these babies that Phoenix Grace will treat? NAS babies from all over Kentucky will receive medical treatment at Phoenix Grace. Just like the drug epidemic, our babies come from every socioeconomic status, race, ethnicity, and culture. Drugs do not discriminate.
What is the point of Phoenix Grace? Phoenix Grace will treat NAS babies in a less stimulus environment using observational, therapeutic, and pharmacological care. We will also connect parents to our local recovery centers and share resources to help build a happy healthy family.
Is Phoenix Grace accepting babies right now? Phoenix Grace has not launched yet but is expected to at the beginning of 2020!
What part of the process is Phoenix Grace in right now? Right now we are currently looking for a building 8,000 - 12,000 square foot. Once the building has been acquired, we will begin the renovations and licensing process to open the doors.
How can I help? Phoenix Grace is need of financial support & contributions. We are a 501c3 with the tax ID number 83-4151164. Other ways to help are to create fundraisers, donate goods (see our "Get Involved" page, and spread the word! Please also be praying for us as we step in to this journey of caring for "the least of these". We know this is God's work and we'll be abundantly blessed as serve him and his children.
